£12.00

£12.00 (Signed & Numbered Edition of 450)

58 pages | Full Colour | UK Royal (23.4 × 15.6 cm)

Published in summer 2025 to accompany Sarah Jane Moon’s solo exhibition Nature / Nurture, this full-colour artist’s book offers an intimate portrait of Aotearoa New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty region through a distinctly queer and autobiographical lens.

Known for her large-scale portraits of LGBTQIA+ figures, Moon here turns her attention to landscape, birdlife and the foliage of Ōhiwa and Waiotahe - places of deep personal significance that shaped her childhood and continue to inform her creative practice.

The book includes vibrant images of previously unexhibited work, including portraits, landscapes, and still lifes that reflect on themes of identity, belonging and homecoming. Portraits of her partner, transmasculine friends and the late MP and activist Georgina Beyer sit alongside studies of native plants and endangered birds, highlighting both resilience and fragility. The accompanying introductory essay by the artist situates the work within broader questions of queerness, ecology and the evolving relationship between people and place.

Each copy is signed and numbered by the artist in a limited edition of 450.

📦 Please allow up to 28 days for delivery. Free Post and Packing is available on orders totalling more than £30 with the code FREEPOST.
